Whistleblower Policy

  1. Objective The purpose of this policy is to create a safe and transparent environment where staff, volunteers, and stakeholders can report any unethical behavior or misconduct within the organization without fear of retaliation. Shri Sai Educational and Welfare Association maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption and professional malpractice.
  2. Scope of the Policy This policy applies to all core staff, field volunteers, and partners across all states of operation. Matters that should be reported under this policy include:
  • Misuse or theft of the Association’s funds, assets, or resources.
  • Bribery, corruption, or financial irregularities.
  • Violation of legal regulations or the organization’s established policies.
  • Any behavior that endangers the safety of our beneficiaries (Children and PwDs).
  • Deliberate suppression or concealment of any of the above acts.
  1. Protection & Confidentiality
  • Identity Protection: The identity of the whistleblower will be kept strictly confidential to the fullest extent possible.
  • No Retaliation: No person who, in good faith, reports a concern shall be subject to harassment, discrimination, or adverse employment consequences (such as termination or demotion). Any person who attempts to retaliate against a whistleblower will face strict disciplinary action.
  1. Reporting Mechanism
  • Direct Reporting: Concerns should be reported directly to the President or the General Secretary.
  • Method: Reports can be submitted via a sealed envelope marked “Confidential” to the Delhi Head Office or via email.

  1. Investigation Procedure
  • Upon receiving a report, the Management will conduct a prompt and discreet investigation.
  • The whistleblower may be contacted for further information, though their involvement in the investigation will be kept minimal to protect their privacy.
  • If the allegations are proven true, the organization will take immediate corrective measures, which may include legal action or termination of the involved parties.
  1. False Allegations While we encourage the reporting of genuine concerns, any individual who knowingly makes false or malicious allegations with the intent to defame others will be subject to disciplinary action.
